We are looking for an AI Team Leader for an international company specializing in the evolution of digital business models of large and medium-sized companies.
Tasks:
- To grow and scale their data science capabilities and help them develop scalable key advanced analytics products.
- To help construct the data science function across multiple teams and identify new areas to apply advanced analytics to drive business results across their client base.
- To manage and grow a team of around 4+ Data Scientists and Data engineers with the mandate of continuously increasing the impact of AA solutions on their client business.
- To mentor other data scientists (e.g., educating junior data scientists in best practices), and you will also provide critical input into defining AI tool ecosystems and techniques used to achieve data science excellence (e.g., advanced analytics protocols). You will also help scale up the team (e.g., recruiting, interviewing, and hiring high-caliber ML engineers /data scientists).
In addition, you will help the AI SaaS product team identify and develop scalable products to make advance analytics more accessible and transform their clients capabilities (e.g., influence the roadmaps of the products).
Requirements:
- 5 years’ work experience in statistical/analytics tools such as R, SAS, Python and using Big Data technologies for machine learning (e.g., SparkML) with expertise in at least a visualization tool.
- 2 years’ work experience of managerial experience building and leading data science teams.
- Proficiency using a query language on a daily basis (SQL, HiveQL) and relational repositories (e.g., Oracle Exadata, MySQL, etc.).
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of Machine Learning algorithms (e.g., time series, regression techniques, neural networks, algorithm types).
- Excellent quantitative skills and the ability to tell a story using data.
- Ability to coordinate modelling and coding efforts of the team members being ultimately accountable for the full lifecycle of the data science solutions.
- University degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Physics or other quantitative sciences.
