Purpose/Objective of the job
Leads a team of Insights and Analytics professionals (1-2 people) for a therapeutic area [Hematology, Solid Oncology, Immunoscience or Cardiovascular] that generates and embeds analytics and insights by proactively partnering with Business Unit Directors and their commercial teams, identifying key business questions and developing and executing the full range of BI&A capabilities.

Key Responsibilities and Major Duties
Responsible for planning primary market research and analytics (including decision science, business performance reporting, and forecasting) to address key business questions in [Market Market] for [Hematology, Solid Oncology, Immunoscience or Cardiovascular].
Develops, executes, and oversees primary market research design to support strategic and tactical choices for the therapeutic area, ensuring a consistent approach especially as it relates to near-term launch preparations
Manages the design and ensures the execution of the implementation of analytics, performance management reporting, and forecasting for planned and ad-hoc needs
Builds relationships and effectively influences all senior management stakeholders (GM, BUDs, Marketing, Sales, Medical, BEP/BOs and Finance)
Applies global standards, models, and templates to drive high standards and consistency in analytics
Collaborates with fellow therapeutic area leads to ensure best practices in market research and analytics are embedded consistently across teams.
Assists with Sales Force Analytics to enable optimal segmentation, targeting and sales force sizing - including developing an annual process for deploying Key Driver Analyses to inform the resource allocation decisions
Synthesizes from data from multiple sources to develop realistic, insightful and actionable recommendations; presents results of strategic projects (i.e., Brand Equity, ATU, Patient Chart Tracking, Field Force Analytics & Resource Allocation, Key Driver Analysis, In-Line Forecasts) in a coherent, meaningful way
Contributes to the development and deployment of innovative BI&A approaches, therapeutic area learnings and best practices within the global BI&A structure
Liaises with Worldwide, other geographies and functional teams for efficient sharing and strategic adoption of learnings and capabilities
Provides leadership in April and September Projection forecasting process as well as the annual market planning and budgeting process
Proactively manages the flow of planned and ad hoc requests to internal and external resources
Identifies relevant data sources and coordinates acquisition with procurement teams; utilizes subnational data to inform decisions
May lead third party contractors

List of minimum requirements
Related Degree/Certification/Licensure
BA/BS required
MBA or Masters in a quantitative major or concentration preferred
5+ years of pharmaceutical/related market experience, including working knowledge of various analytical capabilities
Ability to leverage large, multi-dimensional data sets to drive business decisions
Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to frame issues and present to business stakeholders
Preferred: Knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare marketplace dynamics
Preferred: Prior experience managing at least one or more direct reports
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint
Strongly Recommended: Proficiency and familiarity with analytics/data tools such as, SAS, Access, Spotfire, Tableau, SQL, etc.
