Help us shape the future.Our Purpose The Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) Business Director has the pivotal role to establish, drive and execute the Operating Units' (OU) vison and strategic business plans in the respective country / cluster. He / She is responsible for contributing to the attainment of financial and operational goals within the OU in support of the company's overall financial and strategic objectives with full P&L responsibilities. He / She is responsible for providing commercial and marketing leadership and strategic direction for Medtronic's CRM product portfolio across the country, as well as align and drive a cross-functional team to achieve and exceed revenue, market share, and operating margin targets while positioning the business for sustainable long-term growth.The incumbent will work closely with the VP CRM Western Europe as well as with the Defibrillation Solutions, Cardiac Pacing Therapies, Patient Management, Procedure Innovations, Marketing and other function leaders (Health Economics & Reimbursement, Medical Affairs, Finance, HR, etc.) spanning Western Europe.  He / She will orchestrate CRM activities with Country leadership and Medtronic support functions in the country and will particularly also strengthen the collaboration with Integrated Health Solutions (IHS) and support local Strategic Account initiatives.The incumbent will lead a team of District Managers, OU multi-channel sales team, as closely collaborate with the country OU Marketing & Market Development team.The position reports to the VP CRM Western Europe and is part of the CRM Western Europe leadership team, and country leadership team. Come for a job, stay for a career!A Day in The Life:Business & Customer Management•    Develop and execute commercial plans to achieve short-term and long-term OU objectives.•    Directly contribute to the attainment of financial and operational goals within the OU or country in support of the overall financial and strategic objectives.•    Establish budgets, short- and long-range objectives and criteria for monitoring progress and measuring success.•    Ensure sales strategies are aligned to Operating Unit strategies and that support to the field is in place.•    Oversee new product/market introductions, sales training programs, key customers/key account visits and attendance at key industry congresses and meetings.•    Provide strategy and direction for ongoing business development, implementation of marketing plans, development of sales and market development objectives and tools, and growth of the business for the region.•    Maintain long-range CRM sales and marketing plans for the country.•    Drive the creation and implementation of strategies that enhance differentiation of the OU's offering beyond the product, including physician Training and Education.•    Represent the business at global/Western Europe OU meetings.•    Build long term productive and mutually beneficial relationships with Cardiovascular key decision makers and key opinion leaders.•    Effectively engage and coordinate with sales leadership, and marketing functions to establish a coordinated customer approach through consistent communication.•    Continuously work to gain proficiency pertaining to the industry, the market, and the company's evolving customer value offering.•    Ensure close and effective cooperation with Western Europe Marketing to implement global and local initiatives.•    Support highest standards of Quality processes (e.g., collaborate to the Complaint management process within the timing and internal standards and execute instructions in case of Product Hold and Field Corrective Actions).•    Provide business intelligence insights and competitive activities such as launches and commercial strategies, through the Marketing organization.Change / Transformation Leadership•    Champion and own all change initiatives by being a role model and mobilizing their teams as well as other stakeholders to commit to strategic and cultural change across the organization.•    Lead the transformation of building trusted partnerships with our largest customers (Strategic Account Management and IHS), increasing the focus on dedicated therapies and establishing innovative Go-to-Market strategies and multi-channel sales team.Strategic Market Development•    Encourage the development of new market development initiatives and assessment of business opportunities (PAA), encourage CRM Marketing/Market Development to prepare financial feasibility studies and develop proposals for new business opportunities.•    Ensure close and effective cooperation with Western Europe and Global therapy and program owners to implement global and regional initiatives.Integrative People Leadership•    Lead and build a high-performing and highly engaged CRM team in country by fostering leadership and employee involvement, enhancing teamwork and accountability.•    Provide opportunities for personal growth and advancement of reports, owning specific initiatives to achieve CRM Global Inclusion Diversity and Equity (GIDE) goals.•    Design and maximize opportunities for talent development by making superior decisions as to how to deploy and develop them. Accelerate the development of others, differentiating opportunities and purposefully creating progressive experiences.•    Build effective teams through hiring and development of direct reports, using performance management techniques including mentoring, rewards and recognition when appropriate, and discipline when necessary.•    Provide opportunity for success of all CRM employees by ensuring they receive necessary and appropriate training for their job function and to have change ready.•    Provide opportunities for personal growth and advancement of reports.•    Coordinate with other OU Leaders to ensure alignment of sales with other business functions to facilitate achievement of overall company strategic objectives.•    Collaborate and integrating CRM and Medtronic Functions in country.•    Promote a trusting and progressive culture within the team and develop a broad set of collaborative relationships across the organization, connect well and empathically with other areas.•    Leverage matrix relationships to influence and align others.•    Demonstrate highest ethical and compliance standards.Key Skills & Experience •    13+ years professional experience in a business function (Sales, Marketing, Business / Market Development)•    7+ years professional experience in Healthcare / Medical Devices / Pharma in a mature European market•    10+ years of leadership experience, ideally with heterogenous sales and marketing teams•    Solid experience in a large corporate environment with a significant matrix culture.•    Experienced in managing fast paced growth environment as well a mature / commoditized business segments•    Fluency in English and Spanish•    Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills•    BS/BA degree in marketing, economics, or biomedical engineering•    MBA and / or additional Healthcare related (scientific or engineering) post-graduate degree a plus•    Determine solutions to issues that meet the needs of the OU team in achieving sales goals and objectives.•    Discern the strategic customer's needs and points of satisfaction with the existing situation.•    Proactively determine superior solutions that meet the customer's business challenges which also benefit the company's financial performance with the account.•    Possess a strong grasp of company's business strategy and future growth plans for their area of responsibility.•    Ability to quantify financial impact of decisions and identifies key factors when making recommendations.•    Construct strong profit, Gross Margin, ROI, and cost/benefit analyses.•    Ability to effectively manage the country OU budget to provide business growth and demonstrate fiscal responsibility.•    Deep understanding of regional and local market dynamics, market insights, trends and competitive environment.•    Identify and advance major changes in regional and local marketplace pertaining to distribution, pricing, promotion, regulation, regionalization etc.•    Intimate insight into company's value offerings and how they meet the market and customer needs.•    Leverage industry knowledge to create a sales advantage.•    Recognize and understand political landscape within the company and among Operating Units.Personal competencies•    Purpose driven, objective driven•    Inspiring leader•    Strategic•    Doer and pragmatic leader•    Strong customer focus•    High interpersonal skills, influence skills•    Strong communication skills•    Fast learner with a strong problem-solving attitude and ability to adapt drive execution•    Ability to connect people and ensure strong collaboration and teamwork•    Willingness to engage in a high potential and disruptive business area•    Passion to work in a fast-moving environment, tolerating uncertaintyWillingness to travel 25-30% of time.Medtronic offer a competitive salary and flexible Benefits Package
