Procurement have been set the challenge to deliver on the Centrica cost challenge (£500m by 2020) and at the same time deliver market solutions that support growth targets, you will impact on this with excellent stakeholder and external supplier management.
A key challenge is how to work with key Field Operations stakeholders to bring in innovative solutions that deliver business value while reducing overall operating cost. You will work closely with the internal stakeholders and external third parties continuously seeking to improve value delivery through a framework of category management with a commercial growth and change advocacy mindset.
You will be the key category lead for system components, consumables and uniform translating the business needs to procurement objectives and ensuring all category strategies include the business needs short, medium and long term.
To create end to end category strategy for the key areas, working with stakeholders to unlock value through the offering of innovative business solutions is key as you research and when applicable propose alternative supply chain options for key areas.
You will have supplier facing experience, strong commercial acumen, general market knowledge and be target driven. You will have experience of managing key business stakeholders, knowledge of end to end category management, market insight, business partnering, contract negotiation, on-going supplier management and general supplier governance.
Degree educated or equivalent and/or appropriate experience in work experience.
Membership of CIPS (or equivalent) preferable.
