The Communication and Content Manager will be responsible and accountable for the successful day-to-day implementation of a local Content strategy and KPIs (targets, goals and objectives namely around measurably driving traffic to site) for lastminute.com group brands (lastminute.com, Rumbo, Volagratis or Weg.de depending of team development) as part of the wider marketing mix, working alongside with Consumer and B2B PR agencies and SEO team. In addition, he/she will be in charge for crisis management and brand protection, working closely with Legal, Customer Service, Product and Brand team.
With compelling Content activities, we want to stand out in a crowded market place. We’re looking for an ambitious, highly motivated individual to plan, deliver and analyze our consumer PR as well as work closely with our other European markets to share best practices and create efficiency.
We would love to have someone in our team with a natural passion for Content, who is highly creative and at the same time analytical when it comes to delivering differentiated, innovative Content to further increase awareness for our brands and products and generate an impact on website performance. We are keen to find a candidate who will enjoy working closely with others Marketing teams and company stakeholders, having a good understanding of SEO and 360 integrated campaign strategy.
Key Responsibilities will include
Be integral in the development of local Content strategy (planning, goal setting, tactics and budget)
Ensure consistent and ongoing high profile consumer media coverage through enviable, unique consumer PR, in alignment with Brand positioning and SEO requirement.
Brief and coordinate our external PR and creative agencies
Produce relevant and inspiring SEO content for LP
Create and implement special blogger and influencer programs and media partnership
Manage media enquiries and crisis
Create and develop link building projects and related material (infographics, still images, videos)
Own media analysis and reports
Monitor, flag and handle potential issues /crises to protect our brand, working closely with Customer Services and legal.
Collaborate and cooperate with internal stakeholders
Degree level or equivalent
Significant experience in a similar role/consumer brands >10 years
Proven PR agency experience in Italy or Spain (both prefered)
Proficiency in Microsoft Office
Proven track record in managing and executing innovative PR activities / and SEO campaigns
Experienced in storytelling production and social media understanding
Experienced in 360 content production and management (social media, own platform, external distribution)
Experienced in crisis management
Experienced working in an international environment - English is the language of the group
Exceptional writing / editorial skills
Fluent in Italian, Spanish and English
Professional PR qualification
Strong relationships with national relevant media outlets and SEO agencies
An understanding of the PR opportunities of social media
Understanding of SEO rules
Experience in Travel and online business
