The Business Planning Manager will act as the business owner of Global Spares and Logistics Business Processes. The individual is expected to possess exceptional communication, analytical, project management & customer relations skills. A very high value will be given to attention to details and capable of managing a variety of initiatives & activities within the world of Global Spares and Logistics Innovation. He / She will develop strong relationships with internal and external parties outside of GSL and develop strategies applicable for all regions to drive continuous improvements to processes, customer satisfaction and reduction in operational cost.Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Lead in driving communication in the following areas:
Region / Country Meetings - covering KPIs, initiatives, costs control, customer satisfaction along with employee satisfaction
Project manage all GSL global initiatives
Developing and delivering executive level presentation
Cost Management
Drive cost reduction through continuous improvements, waste reduction & spares investment
Develop / deploy annual global initiatives to reduce freight, warehousing, and amortization cost
Tools and Processes
Design, document & deploy processes & systems to link Field/Dispatch/TSC - covering KPIs, initiatives and cost reduction
Interact with IT department in system develop and testing
Drive to a standard set of tools and reporting that can be shared with the regions for their use or LAM use
Improvement in the Indirect Country process
Preferred Qualifications3+ years of operational experience in Supply Chain Management Service Delivery, Product/Service Management or Service Operations/ Planning
3+ years in project management positions, with demonstrated management skills
3+ years of work experience in technology related business
3+ years in Quality Six Sigma background
Ability to work as an individual contributor and a team manager at the same time
Strategic thinker with good understanding of the cultural and operational differences across Services
Problem solving and analytical capabilities with project management experience
Multi-country operations experience
Knowledge of Oracle business applications and architectures
Bi-lingual, with preference for English/Spanish; additional languages helpful
Candidate ProfileGood communication and presentation skills

Self-motivated, creative, flexible
10% to 25% domestic & internal travel

Detailed Description and Job Requirements

Manage a team that acts as the central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality and marketing of product(s) as they move from conception to distribution. Organize interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget.

As a manager in the product development division, you will lead a team that defines product specifications and or strategy. Gather and analyze information to define product specifications and review design specifications. Communicate product strategy and functionality. Initiate and foster relationships with other groups. Review product documentation and collateral. Ensure successful product releases based on corporate priorities.

Manages and controls activities in multi-functional areas of sections. Ensures appropriate operational planning is effectively executed to meet Corporate business needs. Demonstrated leadership and people management skills. Strong communication skills, analytical skills, thorough understanding of product development and product management. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.
