Job DescriptionThis role will be part of the Data Engineering group under Europe Data & Digital Solutions IT subfunction. The person, as part of this team, will collaborate and partner with different teams to deliver a number of cases and data solutions, and to supervise and maintain all European data systems. The role should also be able to provide support to a big Data Scientist team and some other analytics teams to develop data concepts and digital solutions, therefore it’s necessary to have a basic understanding of the ML algorithms and data needs to industrialize them. Part of the role is to cover the MLops in EuropeThe person must have good understanding of CPG business and all related data used, such as retailer, sales, ePOS, shelf, shopper, behavioural, panel and geolocation data. Must be open minded and ready for challenges on unknown domains. Very deep technical skills, from both data systems integration-management and software development, are required, as well as strong analytical and conceptual skills. It’s also required to be able to interact in business context, understanding the requirements and providing the best fitted solution for them. Create, orchestrate, optimize and maintain ETL pipelines Assemble large complex data sets to assist different business requirementsData cataloguing and documentation of data sets. Assist with initial data exploration steps to provide and document insights for data science Build the infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using SQL and code based techniques Assist with programming, modelling and data integration, supporting task automationIndustrialize Machine Learning models and Data Science experimentsAssist with any IT requirement for data science. Manage the Data Science tools and systems and provide technical supportArchitect, build and launch new data modelsInteract with global teams to implement required tasksDelivery Analytics products leveraging PepsiCo global analytics platformsManage and co-ordinate work of external providersAnalyze source systems for optimizationManage Data Virtualization solutionsCollaborate with business users and data scientists.Assist with initial data exploration steps (binning, pivoting, summarizing and finding correlations).Assist with programming, modelling and data integration, supporting task automation.Ensure proper usage and adoption of data catalogue for data sources and data models delivered.Manage and administer systems and data solutions Qualifications/RequirementsTechnical skills A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Telecomunications/Industrial EngineeringAzure cloud environment administration. Azure data engineering products. Azure Databases - CosmosDB, SQL server, Azure Synapse Analytics, PolybaseSoftware development skills. Programming in Python, R, Scala. Other languages from different paradigms will be considered Databricks & Spark programming experience. Paralel processingOther experience with big data solutions will be valued Experience building and optimizing big data data pipelines, architectures and data sets.Unix system administration.
