You’ll be responsible for DevOps CoE services reliability and evolution, design and implementation reporting to the DevOps CoE Service Manager.
You’ll be in charge of describing the solution requirements; validate the design against those requirements, and implement ensuring functional and non-functional requirements are met by the DevOps CoE toolset currently composed by a CI/CD workbench and a container platform.
Ensure the compliance of the service solutions within Strategy, Group Operations & Technology Standards, customer project requirements and operational quality levels.
Advise and coaching to the IT teams in the best technical way to achieve DevOps goals. Fix and provide support to platform incidences and problems, service monitoring.
This role is accountable for end-to-end technical excellence of the services provided by the DevOps CoE team. Will also be responsible to implement improvements and new services as defined in the DevOps CoE roadmap.
As a DevOps Architect your main responsibilities will involve
Own and lead initiatives to define, design, and implement DevOps solutions in compliance with the strategy and the group
Work with key stakeholders to understand the CI/CD requirements, existing systems and applications.
Advise and coach business and technology delivery leadership on how to translate infrastructure and automation requirements into executable technology solutions.
Participate in the processes of strategic project-planning meetings and provide guidance and expertise on system options, risk, impact and costs vs. benefits
Perform analysis on best practices and emerging concepts in CI/CD and DevOps.
Participate in Solution Strategy, innovation areas and technology roadmap globally.
Fix and provide support for pipelines incidences and problems. Perform profiling, troubleshooting of existing solutions.
Create technical documentation and implement solutions definition, patterns and templates in the platform
Work with other architecture areas to get their buy in to proposed solutions
Your Skills and Experience
As a DevOps Architect your skills and qualifications will ideally include
5+ years of experience in DevOps or CI/CD in a Development Operations organization leading, administering, building and maintaining a CI/CD environment. Strong knowledge of key DevOps concepts – continuous integration and deliver
In-depth experience designing and implementing DevOps pipelines (including Containerization and Virtualization), Release management, Deployment automation process and version control tools
Extensive knowledge of software development and software testing methodologies along with change and configuration management practices in multiple environments.
Good knowledge of databases, middleware, web services and related standards
Experience with IT Governance
Outstanding communication skills, demonstrated ability to explain complex technical issues to both technical and non-technical audiences; own a collaborative, partnership mentality. Team player with a positive attitude, strong communication (English verbal and written) & interpersonal skills
Ability to influence stakeholders as a trusted advisor across all levels, including teams outside of Shared Services
Ability to think outside of the box and be innovative by keeping abreast of new trends, identifying opportunities to bring in change for business benefit
Professional experience with automated deployment, continuous integration, and release engineering tools – Ansible, Bamboo, Jenkins, Maven, Ant, etc , etc.
Strong knowledge of Containerization (Docker) and Container Orchestration (Kubernetes). OpenShift is a plus
Experience with CaaS: Azure AKS, AWS ECS / EKS
Experience with Cloud Services (AWS, Azure, Azure DevOps, etc)
Strong familiarity with GIT, TFS, SVN and other version control systems as software configuration management and Source Code Lifecycle Management tools.
Deep knowledge and experience with .net, j2ee, Java, SQL and DB technologies.
Architecture design experience, networking skills
Atlassian tools: Jira, Bamboo and BitBucket, Confluence
