Purpose and Objective:
Callidus Software Inc seeks a DevOps Engineer at our San Ramon, CA location responsible for the backup and restoration - Virtual Infrastructure Automated Disaster recovery. Bare-metal – Dell, HP, IBM, Super micro and UC on Cisco UCS.
Expectations and Tasks:
Assist with capacity planning and communicate with developers, management and third-party companies. Ensure customer support. Utilize database including SQL, Cassandra, MongoDB, Postgres, MariaDB. DNS management. Support Data Center Management including Hardware, ordering, racking, cabling, setup, configuring, maintenance. Ensure documentation utilizing Runbooks and Wiki. Utilize Linux / Windows software installation. Monitor– Nagios. Utilize networks including DHCP and WINS servers, TCP/IP Protocol Stack. SSL certificate management. Storage Management including Array, LUNs, RAID, VMFS, VNX EMC, SAN, NAS, NFS. Utilize ticketing system such as Service Now. Troubleshoot knowledge. Utilize VMware, vCloud Director, VDI and NSX administration and Windows – RDP, NFS, AD.
Education and Qualifications/Skills and Competencies:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field of study and 5 years of experience required. The company will also accept a Master's degree and 2 years of experience.
Work Experience:
• Experience must involve 2 years in the following: Design, integrate, and implement differentiated cloud services for enterprise-class organizations, including deployment and configuration of networking and security products for virtualized IT infrastructure; Deployment of vSphere infrastructure from the ground up, including vCenter Server, External vCenter MSSQL Database server, vCloud Director, NSX, vCenter Update Manager server, automated ESXi hosts installation and configurations; Implement VMware Virtual Switch technology, port aggregation, NIC teaming, VLAN trunking, and port groups; Manage storage using VMFS and NFS technologies by sharing access to underlying block storage and building client-server relationship between ESX hosts and NAS devices; Enable utilization of VMware resources by consolidating them into Virtual Center, design and implement Windows/Unix/Linux Servers to improve utilization of assets and support shared access for clusters and VMware and support the virtual center on a daily basis, migration of shared web farm and external farms; Applications: Build: Jenkins, Java versions, GIT, Packaging: Yum repositories (Linux), Time synchronization: NTP Service coordination: Zookeeper Database: MSSQL, MySQL, MongoDB (NoSQL), Cassandra clustering (NoSQL), Security: SSH, Firewall, NAT, Authentication: SSO (Single Signon), Distributed Horizon Workspace Messaging: RabbitMQ, Khafka; Storage: SAN, NAS, RAID and LUN masking, Host Flash storages, Backup and recovery, Product: EMC VNX, EMC Clariion, EMC Celera; and Automation Unix Shell Scripting, Windows Powershell.
• Experience must also include: SAP HANA troubleshooting and support, including design, deploy, maintain, and upgrade SAP HANA on GCP and VMware Datacenter, SAP HANA-HA Auto failover configuration across multiple zones and provided recommendation for DR and testing functionality; and Google Cloud Platform (GCP) support.
