Job Description Summary
As an Electrical Insulation Engineer, you will own the design of electrical insulation systems as well as other new materials to be used in world class Generators for the Offshore Wind market.
You will be part of the design team of the generator active parts and work on the design, validation and manufacturing process of insulation systems and other generator active parts materials that meet the product requirements while maintaining the highest standards of EHS, quality, timeliness and cost.

Role Summary/Purpose
As an Electrical Materials Engineer, you will own the design of electrical insulation systems as well as other new materials to be used in world class Generators for the Offshore Wind market.
You will be part of the design team of the generator active parts and work on the design, validation and manufacturing process of insulation systems and other generator active parts materials that meet the product requirements while maintaining the highest standards of EHS, quality, timeliness and cost.
Essential Responsibilities
You will be accountable for the definition of insulation systems for generators, including dimensioning, BOM creation, manufacturing process definition and implementation and system validation.
You will work together with the electrical.
You will manage and mitigate the technical risks associated to your designs through the project gates and products lifecycle using systematic methodologies such as DFMEAs and the creation and follow up of validation plans. You will define and follow up tests plans to qualify the insulation systems according to international and internal standards.
You will work with the supply chain organization to ensure your design is manufactured at the required quality and at the target costs and time.
You will lead or participate to root cause analysis on fleet issues and incorporate the relevant lessons learned into your next designs.
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Materials or equivalent Engineering from an accredited college or university.
Experience in the design and manufacturing of electrical insulation systems for low and medium voltage applications and knowledge of design and validation standards.
Knowledge in materials such as composites and resins.
Positive mindset with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Fluent in English (spoken and written).
