Company: FedEx ServicesJob Title: Full Stack Developer II - Cloud EngineerJob Requisition Number: RC369962Category: Information TechnologyPay Type: ExemptLocations:Coraopolis, Pennsylvania 15108United StatesLakeland, Florida 33801United StatesBrookfield, Wisconsin 53045United StatesSponsorship for this position is not available for new hires.The primary purpose for the Cloud Engineer is to provide support and technical expertise for new and existing internal solutions that are migrating to the cloud.The responsibilities include assisting development teams with understanding how to provision, automate, and administrate cloud compute capabilities across multiple cloud providers.The Cloud Engineer will function as part of a cloud governance organization, helping to ensure departmental adherence to standards and industry best practices.In addition to these on-going responsibilities, the Cloud Engineer will also work to mature centralized cloud governance capabilities such as capacity management, configuration, IAM and monitoring/alerting.In all these responsibilities, the Cloud Engineer will work under the direction of the Cloud Architect and in collaboration with enterprise partners.Under general supervision, designs, codes, tests and deploys software in all layers of the development life cycle. Provides the necessary documentation.Required Skills:Development / System Admin experience related to cloud native applications.Training (Pluralsight, Coursera) in provisioning cloud compute instances (Azure, Google Cloud, AWS)Desire and willingness to learn all aspects of cloud computing and administration (Kubernetes, serverless, Terraform, etc)Understanding of 12-factor (cloud native) app development principles.Ability to work on an as-needed basis with multiple development teams simultaneously.Ability to communicate (verbal and written) new technical concepts clearly.Desired Skills:Cloud certifications: (Azure, Google Cloud Platform)Experience building/supporting enterprise-scale cloud-based solutions that provided high elasticity, availability, and resiliency.Enthusiastic with a positive attitude, passionate about modernization and next-gen IT practices.Good ability to socialize and build professional relationships across large enterprise.Effectively work across geographically disperse locations and be comfortable in a remote work environmentEmbrace culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.Embrace a diverse culture and diverse viewpoints, with the ability to respectfully engage in constructive arguments.Domicile:Coraopolis, PA (a Suburb of Pittsburgh)Brookfield, WI ( a Suburb of Milwaukee)Memphis, TNLakeland, FLAbility to work remotely within the United States may be available based on business needsRemote working candidates should be open for up to 10% travel.Relocation: Relocation assistance may be available based on business needs.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree in computer science, engineering, or information systems and/or equivalent formal training or work experience.
