The Head of L&D Academies is responsible for developing the L&D Academy strategy and plans aligned to overall business and L&D strategy.
Leading the Academy Specialists and Design & Learning Technology Team, they are focused on developing an efficient and effective learning proposition to meet the current and future capability requirements of the business.
The Job role:
Own the strategic direction of the Centrica Academy learning proposition including Leadership & Management, Customer, Engineering & HSES, Digital and Business & Professional Academies
Use external and internal insight to shape the strategic intent and vision for the Academy proposition and continually seek ways to improve value and the learner experience
Review the L&D Demand Plan to identify future needs for Centrica (with input from Capability Partners & L&D Consultants) and inform the Academy learning proposition
Lead the development of content and initiatives based on the requirements of the business, applying latest thinking in learning to ensure efficiency and effectiveness
Own all methodologies, learning frameworks and approaches for the Academies
Develop plans to ensure strong business sponsorship, alignment and adoption
Collaborate across Learning, Talent, Resourcing to support consistency in approaches and knowledge sharing.
Understand the regulatory and conduct requirements of the business and integrate these throughout the Academies
Provide group facilitation and individual coaching support for the business, where relevant and required.
Demonstrable experience of the design, development and implementation of a Group Learning proposition for Management & Leadership, Engineering, Customer, Digital and Business & Professional Learning
Experience of developing a learning strategy across the group and developing solutions for a variety of roles across the organisations
Develops a learning proposition that includes the regulatory requirements
CIPD related to Learning & Development
Psychometric training in Level A & Level B
Management & Leadership development
A proven track record of converting comprehensive strategy to action
A demonstrable track record of translating vision, innovative strategies and business requirements into clear, actionable goals and delivering excellent results and outcome.
Have a successful track record of operating commercially and executing plans effectively
Experience of setting a clear vision and motivating others to deliver exceptional results – strong collaborator.
Ability to contribute to the development of the overall function strategy and vision.
Shape the learning proposition based on critical capability identified by the business
Develop the design strategy for L&D across the group
Provide insight and evaluation of the effectiveness of learning
Develop the technology strategy for learning across the group
Credible and values driven leader who is able to set a clear vision and motivate others to deliver exceptional results
Takes an enterprise wide approach and is collaborative, adaptable and able to understand the dynamics of large, complex organisations. Intellectual horsepower to understand the detail, alongside the complexity, and still drive the strategic aims
