Industrial Entomologist

Job SummaryWe are looking for an entomologist with experience in large-scale insect production to work on applied research and process optimization.Candidate ProfileBachelor´s degree in Biology, Master´s and/or PhD in Entomology or ZoologyAt least 2 years of relevant experience in the industrial production of insects or in Ramp;D applied at enhancing industrial insect rearing systems.Strong background in experimental planning, data processing and result interpretation.Expertise in one or more of the following areas will be highly regarded:Scaling-up and automation of insect production processesInsect nutrition scienceInsect physiology and ecologyMicrobiome studies related to insectsKey SkillsHighly attention to detail.Strong collaboration and teamwork abilities.Effective communication skills, especially for reporting and sharing results within the team.Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and adaptability.Main ResponsibilitiesConduct research activities focused on the industrialization of insect farming, under the guidance of the department lead.Take part in shaping the Ramp;D strategy and in making decisions that drive the ongoing enhancement of production methodsSupport day-to-day tasks within a pilot facility dedicated to insect production.
