Group Audit is responsible for performing audits over the whole of Zurich's operations globally. We are looking for a Planning Manager to join our audit hub in Barcelona and be part of our global internal audit organization. You will contribute to the Group Audit global team in terms of professional skills, technical knowledge, energy and motivation.
Primary responsibility is to support the Functional Audit Director (Planning, Delivery and Reporting) with provision of a robust global audit risk assessment, and the development and maintenance of an Audit Plan, which ensures an appropriate global audit response to Group and local risks.
You will have the opportunity to interact with Global / Regional Audit Directors, local Heads of Audit and team members across the globe, including Corporate Centre, Europe, Latin America, Asia Pacific and North America.

As an Internal Audit Planning Manager your main responsibilities will involve
Support the Functional Audit Director in development and maintenance of a relevant, high quality and right-sized risk assessment and Audit Plan, that remains responsive to key changes in risk and corporate priorities
Maintain related processes to sustain ongoing risk assessment and audit planning results
Support processing by the team of plan changes and rolling 12 month plan development in Group Audit's web-based Planning Tool, Cosmos
Prepare plan and plan change analyses to support reporting to Group and Subsidiary Audit Committees
Prepare base data for reports for Group and subsidiary Audit Committee, Senior Management (Group CEO and CEO-1), Group and local regulators.
Your Skills and Experience
As an Internal Audit Planning Manager your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
Required: Bachelor's Degree
Preferred: Master's degree in business or related field
Preferred: Previous experience as a Manager from an insurance / financial services business with a sound knowledge of one or more technical areas (ca. 5 years in the industry), or, as experienced Manager or newly appointed Senior Manager with 5 years' experience (internal/external audit) in a public accounting firm
Relevant professional qualification, such as CIA, will be required. If not already qualified, such certification should be obtained within 18 months after hiring.
Preferred: Detailed knowledge of internal audit processes, principles of internal controls and risk assessments.
Required: Experience of working in a multinational and complex organization.
Good understanding of insurance industry, key markets, participants, innovation drivers, business issues, standards and guidelines, regulatory environment and developments
Capable of building credible relationships with global colleagues and senior business management
Good organization, analytical and problem-solving skills
Good communications skills
Fluent in verbal and written English (first language or equivalent)
Ability to challenge and identify innovative solutions
Customer focused, collaborative, flexible, persistent and results-oriented.
Able to work without close supervision and to take decisions autonomously, subject to verification
Flexibility and endurance to cope with varying workloads, pressures and priorities.
Work location is Spain, Barcelona with occasional travel to other locations, primarily Zurich.
