An excellent opportunity for a Recent Gradute OR Last Year Student engineer to undertake an internship within the Non Destructive Test department in Airbus Getafe.
The intern will give support in the following activities:
Definition and industrial deployment for Programmes of metallic materials and manufacturing processes which are optimized in cost and performance.
Ensure robust materials and process data as basis for qualification.
Definition of Metal Technology strategy, principles and concepts.
Development and harmonization of mature and robust materials and process specifications for Metallic Technology.
Deliver Material and Manufacturing Process Selection List and Standard selection list.
Deliver for design engineering Metallic material and process data allowables.
Definition and validation of manufacturing process simulation tools to ensure correct mature materials and manufacturing.
Ensure a robust part certification process by First Part Qualifications when developing Metallic Technology. Provide expertise support for engineering, manufacturing and in-service issues on metallic parts and processes.
Participation in the project already launched regarding the use of image analysis tools in the SEM (Scanning Electron Microscope) applied to the analysis of fractographic samples: This development project has been launched this year in order to automate the fatigue striation counting and simplify the analysis through the use of a computer tool instead of manual execution.
Preparation of procedures for laboratory equipment and facilities: It is necessary to prepare instructions applicable for the different equipment and methods used in order to be ready for a future application of certification in the laboratory..
Material characterization, metallography studies and microstructural evaluation of different materials: Laboratory preparation including mounting, grinding, polishing and etching in order to perform material characterizations and analyze the influence of different processing methods. Besides it is necessary to carry out a study of a feasibility method to use the electrolytic polishing equipment already available in the laboratory.
We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:
- Recent Graduates OR Last year Students in Engineering.
- Previos knowledge in Composite Material would be desirable.
- English :Negotiation level
- Spanish :Negotiation level
