BNP Paribas Personal Finance (PF) strategy regarding Application Development and Maintenance (ADM) is to concentrate capacity in regional Shared Services Centres (SSC), providing services to PF subsidiaries. IDRAS (or SET Southern Europe Technologies) is one of the 3 SSC, located in Madrid, and focusses mainly on development linked to Automotive Business assets such as ISF or CCLK.

IDRAS workforce in 2020 is around 70 resources working on Java, .Net and Powerbuilder.

The mission ofIT Architecture Manageris to contribute to ADM Transformation initiatives, provide guidance on solutions design and lead architecture team, ensuring optimal utilization and mutualisation of technologies, systems and resources, aligned to PF and Group Standards.

Anorganizational setting:
The IT Architecture Manager is responsible for providing a coordinated support and guidance for the Delivery Managers and IT Asset Owners during projects definition, design and execution, while ensuring compliance with group IT standards.

The IT Architecture Manager consolidates administrative and technical functions to deliver in a cost-effective manner, promoting efficient solutions design and services improvements.

The IT Architecture Manager manages his/her team (3-5 FTE) promoting good working environment, fostering innovation and collaboration internally and with external stakeholders, while assigning team members to contribute and/or support development teams in one or more projects.

The IT Architecture Manager has the ability to operate across multiple engagements concurrently and assume architectural responsibility, leading at domain level.

Atechnical/ functional focusandskills needed:
Technical and Software Architecture design, documentation and review, ensuring adequate translation from business requirements into IT solutions, also taking into account Compliance with Group Standards and non-functional requirement, such as: Performance, Security, Availability, Resilience, Integration, Data, UX/UI;

Master Microservices and Cloud-Native architectures and technologies, such as Containers, Kubernetes and related frameworks and technologies. Lead SSC actions related to the Move to Cloud program;

Experience in API, SOA and EJB approaches. Deep understanding of Java and .Net, as well as related Application Servers;

Agile methods and DevSecOps on a hands-on approach. Act as trusted advisor for the development team;

Data Architecture and AI related experience is strongly desired.

Thekey functionsof the Architecture Manager:
Oversees the delivery and the day-to-day operations of the Architecture and Technical teams under his/her responsibility, ensuring that all standards are met, procedures are followed and roadmaps/plans are followed. Establishes priorities and schedules of main activities, meeting business and other stakeholder's expectations.

Develops and implements new working methods and procedures of the SSC; recommends procedural changes to improve SSC efficiency and ensures appropriate implementation of decisions made by senior management.

Define and supervise the implementation of technical and obsolescence roadmaps.

Supervises staff, manages performance, and actively contributes to careers development, by mentoring and coaching teams, planning and executing training sessions when requested.

Establishes quality control mechanisms such as client surveys, periodic data quality assurance reviews, accuracy and completeness of technical documentation. Continuous improvement mind-set, pursuing excellence in the delivery.

Establishes and maintains close relationship with all SSC Delivery and Architecture Managers, and Service Lines at HQ.

As part of the SSC Management team, contributes to the delivery of multi-disciplinary programs, projects and products and prepares a variety of plans, strategies, reports and proposals. Represent the SSC in relevant committees.

Define, measure, report and control KPI.

Performs other duties as required. Enhance organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different challenges, exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Theminimum requirementsare:
Advanced University degree in Computer Science, Business Administration and/or Management

10 years of relevant experience in coordinating, leading and/or managing IT and/or Expertise Architecture or Software Development activities

Experience in supporting Financial Services platforms in a critical production environment

Previous experience in providing structured services to clients

Fluent English. Good working knowledge of French is a plus

EA or equivalent certifications desirable
