Scope: Worldwide, all businesses


Sanofi is globally deploying its new back-office cross-functional system processes - covering Finance, SBS, Supply Chain and Trade across all GBUs - through the implementation of a Global ERP (SHIFT project) using SAP S4/HANA technology. This Transformation program aims at:
Enabling Global Business Units (GBU) & Global Functions with AnalyticsCommon analytics by GBU and for Global functions to improve performance and cost management
Transversal data consolidation as well as more granular analyses
Common budget tools by GBU

Facilitating a seamless integration of planning and actual data setting-up automation in reporting to enable Global Shared Services (SBS)Support SBS strategy by implementing an end-to-end approach (e.g. P2P fully covered by integrated Group solutions from eBuy to AP Invoicing, T&E, etc.)
Opportunity to consolidate new activities in Shared Services (e.g. Master Data Management, Credit Management) and to develop global Shared Services organization models (e.g. T&E)
Support reporting factories

Simplifying processes and Sanofi users' experienceState-of-the-art global systems ensuring an end-to-end process integration while providing a simplified user's experience
Major changes to reporting or processes handled centrally at once
One source of truth on master data and a common automated internal control framework
Improved integration or divestment capabilities through a standardized methodology


The ITS Technico - Functional Architect is responsible for providing the development architecture of the optimal, best practice and rationalized solution to meet the functional requirement in accordance with Shift Core model & guiding principle


Sanofi is engaging into a review program for harmonization of its current processes: Finance and Controlling, SBS, Trade, Customer Service, Supply Chain. The SHIFT project is the IT implementation of these Business Core Models into a Global ERP considering also the corresponding interfaces with the Back-Office and satellite tools. The first release of the SHIFT Core solution has been already delivered in Iberia and Benelux regions. Next releases and Deployments will come during the oncoming years. It is expected to have a quite extended number of projects non related to the pure Deployments which should be delivered by ITS Finance team
In this context the main duties of ITS Technicon - Functional Architect are:

Stream Management
Present verbal and written reports for the ITS Technico - Functional Architectural activities, defining action plans, issues and resolutions to appropriate levels of management
Ensure that risks and issues are identified, formalized & communicated to the ITS Functional integration lead and/or SHIFT Transversal Services - Technical Architecture Lead

He/she will work closely with the Functional solution delivery streams to fully understand the business/functional requirements of proposed developments
He/she will be responsible for providing the development architecture of the optimal, best practice and rationalized solution to meet the functional requirement in accordance with Shift Core model & guiding principle
He/she will promote the development guideline and ensure the functional specification alignment with the guideline (reusability, management of custom constant table and scalability)
He/she will ensure that the optimal solution provided is consistently documented to technical specification and ensure the alignment of development delivery with the specification
He/she will provide technical assistance in functional unit test to ensure the optical quality is delivered and tested
He/she will partner with ITS development leads and Implication partner development leads to ensure the continuous improvement of development practices
He/she will partner with Technical architect to engage on the overall application landscape management surrounding Shift to ensure that functional integration between Shift and non-Shift systems are consistent to End-to-End process


Educational Background
Post-graduate studies (4/5 years): Master in IT or Engineering

Professional Experience
Experience and working knowledge in SAP lifecycle projects
Extensive experience on SAP S4 HANA implementations and skilled on next components including OTC, PTP, Finance, SCM and Master Data with sound functional knowledge
Expert on SAP Advanced Business Applications Programming (ABAP) on HANA : Technical Concept and Architecture, Data Modelling using HANA Studio, ABAP Development Tools (ADT), Code Performance Rules and Guidelines for SAP HANA
At least 5 years of RICEFW development analysis & estimations
Experience of projects in complex and international environment
Experience in managing relationship with Implementation partner
At ease with Microsoft Office tools, and in general with IS tools
