About the Team:
DMI is an internal editorial tool used by over 300 researchers worldwide.
It is a central platform for adding and managing information about individuals who are sanctioned, politically exposed, or involved in criminal activities, and companies owned by governments or subject to sanctions.
DMI is the primary source of truth for all data collected by researchers, which is consumed by other systems within Dow Jones.
We work with the Product Team to improve researchers' daily workflows.
Our team has the autonomy to propose and implement UI and UX improvements, ensuring the platform meets user needs.
Some Technologies used are: React, Redux, Jenkins, GitHub, Terraform, Docker, AWS, Node.js, and Micro-Frontends.
You will:
Lead technical discussions on UI-related tasks, guiding team conversations to address technical challenges, share solutions, and agree on the approach for UI implementations.
Coordinate UI team efforts to ensure objectives are met within the sprint timeline.
Conduct code reviews, validate features, and guarantee high-quality deliverables.
Lead the UI lifecycle overseeing the entire UI process, including design, deployment, and post-release support.
Collaborate with the product team to refine requirements, understand them, and propose adjustments to enhance deliverability.
You have:
5+ years of Front End development experience, with experience with React.JS (including hooks and features in React 18).
Experience with HTML best practices, semantic HTML, and accessible markup.
Expertise in CSS (vanilla CSS, CSS systems, and CSS-in-JS).
Familiar with Webpack, Babel, npm, GitHub, and experience with component libraries, design systems, and Storybook.
Proficient in implementing accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA).
Analytical and solid programming skills, writing clean, concise code with comments.
Eagerness to work in a geographically distributed team environment.
Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
