We are now looking for a Machinery Diagnostic Engineer (MDS) to join our Spanish operations. We are looking for enthusiastic engineers willing to develop their career and to help grow our business. Diagnosing machinery problems using Bently Nevada and 3rd Party condition monitoring products.
Machinery diagnostics based upon measured vibration and operational data, and the knowledge of rotating machinery using the mechanical trouble shooting skills.
Able to configure ADRE® for Windows, or Sxp software to acquire the necessary vibration response data on a machinery train.
Able to properly optimize System 1® installations in multiple industries.
Ability to properly perform single and multiplane field balance corrections on various types of industrial machinery using a variety of computational techniques.
Working knowledge of the measurement of thermal growth characteristics of machinery trains using optical and/or laser based instruments.
Working knowledge of measurement and interpretation of Operating Deflection Shapes (ODS) and modal analysis.
Working knowledge of characteristics and diagnostics of Rolling Element Bearings.
Awareness of secondary technologies for oil analysis, motor current analysis, acoustic emission, thermographic analysis, and sound level analysis.
Reacting to customer required travel in a timely manner
Provide detailed engineering reports in a timely manner.
Lead Supporting Service Agreement (SSA) contract as primary point of contact within customer’s organisation for Bently Nevada.
Ensure all aspects of MDS/SSA contracts are carried in accordance with contract commitments (including execution and KPI status).
Lead quarterly meetings with relevant salesperson to discuss MDS/SSA execution, ROI and future opportunities.
Presentation of ROI case histories to senior customer personnel, covering EHS, Production and Maintenance impact.
On-going review of Condition Monitoring techniques to identify opportunities for improvement using current / new technology or by developing processes.
Ability to conduct internal and external training courses including Machinery Diagnostics and Bently Nevada products.Qualifications/Requirements:
MDS Engineer: Graduate engineer from an accredited institution with a 4-year technical degree. An MSc degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
Vibration Analyst Certification ISO 18436 CAT II is preferred and CAT III certification would be highly considered.
Strong command of oral and written communication, plus formal presentations.
Strong analytical skills, combined with knowledge of computer hardware, Microsoft Windows operating system, and Microsoft Office suite software.
Ability to interpret and understand machinery mechanical and electrical system drawings and specifications.
Willing to work at customer plant sites for extended hours, and travel widely within the geographic region with short notice.
Previous background in Systems & Instrumentation work, operating plant experience, OEM experience, or industrial co-op program is highly desirable.
Strong desire to learn, and develop technical expertise in this complex business.
Valid Driver’s License and Passport.
Ability to work in arduous temperature environments, heights, and perform all tasks wearing required Personnel Protective Equipment (PPE).
Ability to handle the physical strength and agility requirements of the job in accordance with specific job descriptions.
Desire to provide high quality field services to our customers.
Project Management Skills. Knowledge of rotating machinery operation, O&G Upstream/Downstream processes & of machinery protection and management systems.
