?? About the RoleEU Mediterrani is seeking an innovative and motivated part-time lecturer to join our Tourism Degree faculty.
The selected candidate will teach one or more courses related to emerging technologies and trends in tourism, within a forward-thinking and international academic environment.
The courses offered may include:
Big Data in Tourism (6 ECTS)Smart Tourism Destinations (6 ECTS)Tourism 4.0 (6 ECTS)Blockchain in the Tourism Industry (6 ECTS)Artificial Intelligence in Tourism (6 ECTS)New Tourist Profiles and Trends (3 ECTS)
?? Main Responsibilities Deliver lectures, workshops, and seminars in English.Design and update course content, aligning with program learning outcomes.Assess students through individual and group evaluations.Guide students in developing innovative and critical thinking skills.Participate in coordination meetings with the Tourism program team.Use active methodologies and digital tools to enhance learning.
? Required Qualifications University degree (Bachelor's, Licenciatura or higher).Proven experience or academic background in tourism, technology, data analysis, or related fields.Proficiency in English (C1 or higher).Availability to teach in-person in Barcelona.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
?? Desirable Assets PhD or ongoing doctoral studies.Teaching experience in higher education.Experience with educational innovation and/or digital tools.Knowledge of smart tourism, digital transformation, and emerging traveler trends.Publications or participation in research projects.
?? Scoring Criteria for Admitted CandidatesApplicants who meet the required qualifications will be scored out of a maximum of 60 points based on the following criteria: CriteriaMax.
Points Possession of a PhD degree (clearly indicated + scanned copy)10 points
Official teaching accreditation (AQU / ANECA)15 points
C1 certificate in English (clearly stated + scanned certificate)10 points
University-level teaching experience (certified by institution)10 points
Professional experience in tourism or digital innovation fields15 points

Candidates scoring over 40 points will be invited to a personal interview.
