Adevinta’s local marketplaces thrive through global connections and networks of knowledge.Job DescriptionExperimentation area groups 2 teams: BIC and Houston, both based in Barcelona and responsible for the following capabilities:A|B testingCurated datasetsData exploration Behavioral captureBehavioral schema managementThe goal is to facilitate the daily life of an Analyst in Adevinta including the creation of pipelines and datasets for analysis and experimentation by providing reliable ways of splitting of test groups for online multivariate testing as well as necessary data preparation to facilitate the analysis of the results. This is a starting point but the primary goal is to help remove barriers to Analysts to successful analytics and experimentation.Role descriptionEnsure delivery of the Area products and features, within the timeframe, quality and budget as agreed with the Area Manager (AM). ResponsibilitiesBe part of the Data&Privacy leadership group (reporting directly to the Data&Privacy lead)Participate in creating and setting strategy and organizational level goalsUltimate owner of the Area backlog (3-12+ mo), establishing clear Area priorities based on the key Marketplace and Area goalsResponsible for high level strategy and high level product architecture within the Area, defining the integration points internally and externallyBuild and curate the Area’s Product Portfolio and its backlog, fostering high product, excellent user experience and user focus.Define proper business case, value proposition and budget for all Area initiatives and effectively communicate with business and product leads to ensure alignment on needs as well as buy-in and support.Provide a visible external interface for the Area to all stakeholders of the wider organisationWorks cross-area and across the organization understanding and responding to the technical challenges that exist across Marketplaces.Ability to evaluate technical products in depth, understanding them from the point of view of engineers that use them to build complex systems at scale.Follow external trends relevant for the Area, understand how they apply to the specific needs of Marketplaces.Support and mentor tech leaders across the organization in key roles critical to deliver on the technology strategy. QualificationsA BSc (or equivalent) degree in Computer Science10+ years experience in Data Analysis and/or Experimentation domains:Experience implementing experimentation platform solutions across companies.Ability to drive and be ambassador of experimentation culture across the company. Ability to drive requirements for Data Analyst capabilities.Experience implementing solutions for Data Analyst so that they can work autonomously and efficiently as close as the business teams as possible.User focus and product-oriented mentality applied to the development of technical systems for Data Analysis and Experimentation.Collaborate in cross-functional teams consisting of product managers, data engineers and analysts to build a great experimentation and data analysis products that correspond to the needs of our analystsGreat technical background on the Area’s domains with proven ability and experience designing, implementing, maintaining complex technical systems at scale and evaluate their underlying technological choices.Being able to communicate in a concise way to a technical and non-technical audience.Great technical background on the Area’s domain with proven ability and experience designing, implementing, maintaining complex technical systems at scale and evaluate their underlying technological choices.Be collaborative, with ability to drive collaboration internally in the Area, and jointly with other areas.Demonstrable strategic thinking abilities and analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude.Deep understanding of business operations and ability to have a positive impact on them.Experience in product and project management, handling requirement backlogs, stakeholder engagement and prioritisation.Communication, decision-making and leadership skills.Job SummaryCarrer de la Ciutat de Granada, Barcelona, SpainFull-timeDepartment: TechnologyContract Type: Long term/Permanent contract
