Purpose of the function The Proposal Engineer is responsible of translating the specification provided by a prospect client to a ROM (Rough Order of Magnitude) or FFP (Fixed Firm Priced) proposal. The Proposal engineer extracts key parameters from client proposal and complements the information to create a sound proposal.
The Proposal Engineer communicates with Process Engineers to define the processes involved in the proposal as well as with Suppliers to get costing scheme for the proposal to be build.
The Proposal Engineer main activities are the preliminary evaluation of proposal on terms of structural, thermal and process analysis, the cost built-up of the proposal and the standardization of both processes within Compoxi. The Proposal Engineer will support, punctually, the sales team in marketing activities or presence in shows/trades worldwide.

Acquisition, quotations & calculation Produce quote and proposal, manage internal supplier processes (quotation request, supplier database update).
Compile and apply for internal acquisitions budget.
Get quotation from (potential) suppliers.
Maintain operational figures / cost database.
Engineering Perform preliminary analysis of products to be included in proposal.
Perform preliminary design of tools, moulds, jigs and other needs for the proposal.
Coordinate with Engineering Team for manufacturing definition and identify risk points.
Team Collaborate to sales team, providing support in proposal build-up
Collaborate to engineering team, to define strategies for each proposal.
Project definition Compile, summarize and transfer the necessary information from client specs to proposal.
Compile, summarize and transfer the necessary information from proposal to engineering to execute the project.
Recap all necessary information from engineering team, client specs, operation and supply chain and reflect it on a quote calculation and written proposal.
Tasks CRM, account management & customer relations Update proposal status and follow up on CRM.

Prepare proposals.
Networking & Marketing Attend and participate market related events such as conferences, fairs or shows

Project definition Responsible to translate all the information into written proposal and costing schemes

The Proposal Engineer compiles all necessary information (external and internal) to create the Project Plan for its execution within the company.

bachelor's degree in technical education.Experience: minimum 1 year experience in industrial sales environment or related profession, preferable in the composite industry.Other: Knowledge of composite production methods and engineering.
Proficient in English (written and spoken) and Spanish/Catalan language.
French and German will be valuable.
