QA Automation Engineer The Quality Assurance Automation Engineer is responsible for designing testing procedures and reporting on findings and system defects, while adhering to team deadlines and assigned deliverables. You will need to analyze the functionality of applications and design automated tests to validate their performance. Responsibilities Work collaboratively with an Agile team to create and update test cases that ensure accurate and productive test execution. Develop automation scripts and maintain those scripts as application development evolves. Ensure that testing activities allow applications to meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify existing or potential issues. Create and maintain test data for test execution scenarios, ensure data setups are accurate and appropriately stored in test database. Test any new software to ensure integration into company systems meets functional requirements, system compliance, and technical specifications. Analyze formal test results in order to discover and report any defects, bugs, errors, configuration issues, and interoperability flaws. Recommend and/or implement process improvement ideas, providing path for implementation. Job requirements Degree in technology related field (strongly preferred), or equivalent work experience. Minimum 3 years of experience creating tests scripts using development techniques (GIT, junit, Java, Javascript) Minimum 2 year of experience testing web-based products using Selenium/Gherkin/BDD. Experience with SQL (strongly preferred) and Oracle (good to have) database environments. Ability to work effectively and with little supervision within an Agile team Good understanding of software testing techniques, tools, processes, and Agile methodologies. Experience with JIRA or similar defect tracking tool(s). Strong analytical, problem solving, and interpersonal skills.
