Your Responsibilities

As part of the Risk Management team, the new team member will be responsible to guarantee the efficiency and effectiveness of the Internal Control framework with a 360° view of risks and controls of Zurich Spain.
Directly reporting the ZIP Spain CRO, the main responsibilities will be the following:
360° view of the Risk and Control framework for all Zurich Spain business areas, Legal Entities and Reporting Units

Ensure compliance with the Zurich Risk Policies and with the Group Risk Management framework, with special focus on Internal Control and Financial Reporting policies, providing support to the business areas to ensure compliance

Identify and lead the implementation of initiatives to improve the quality of the internal control framework (Optimization, Simplification and/or improvement)

Control and monitor the quality standards of Risk, Control and action plan documentation. Supervise and guarantee the quality of the documentation of the financial and solvency related processes to ensure full compliance with the Group's policies and quality standards

Automatize reporting and relevant indicators for effective monitoring

Prepare consistent, reliable and accurate information, in compliance with the timelines for presentation to the relevant governance bodies (Risk Committees, Audit Committees and Board of Directors)

Develop and provide training to increase knowledge in the organization about the policies and procedures that govern the internal control framework

Participate in global financial or global internal control projects, when applicable

Skills and Experience

We expect the person to join our team to have the following skills and experience:
University degree, preferably technical careers, actuarial, ADE, Economics or similar

Minimum 5-year experience in areas related to Audit, Internal Control, Control Testing, Quality Assurance or Risk Management

Experience in team management/coordination will be highly valued, with direct or non-direct reporting line

Knowledge of the insurance sector

Knowledge of SOX Methodology, Internal Control over Financial reporting or Solvency reporting

Coordination skills and ability to prioritize tasks

Strong capacity to optimize and simplify processes, focused on continuous improvement

Result oriented and excellent execution skills

Strong verbal and written skills in Spanish and English

Supportive attitude and team oriented

Experience in Project management and knowledge of IFRS 17 will be highly valued
