The purpose of your role will be to implement an effective and appropriate quality strategy to minimise customer complaints & defects, optimise plant performance, prevent loss and wastage, and improve procedural compliance. Key responsibilities: Drive the developments needed for implementation and maintenance of the Food Safety Management System in line with BRC Global Standard and customer requirements. Ensure QMS, food safety, due diligence systems are in control. Work with Production to ensure all products and processes are safe and compliant with specifications, statutory obligations, and best industry practice. Leader the of Quality team to include training, recruitment, and adherence to company procedures. Assist R&D in the introduction of new products and processes. Management of laboratory including testing schedules. Your experience You will be educated to a degree level in a food science, food technology or related discipline and have a strong QA/QC/Technical track record within the food manufacturing industry. You will have previous team management experience with the ability to work with a multi-disciplined team to ensure that Quality & Production targets are met. Excellent working knowledge of UK retailer standards and BRC Global Food Safety Standard is also required. You will be highly motivated, have fantastic attention to detail and a passion for the food industry is essential. Fluency in English and at least basic Spanish is needed, together with the flexibility to travel to the UK ad required. More details The Quality Manager role is a full-time role and permanently based in the Castilla y León region in Spain, therefore would suit an individual who currently lives in Spain or is willing to relocate. The role is paying €40,000 - €50,000 according to individual skills and previous experience (equates to approximately £34,400 - £43,000). The working hours are Monday to Friday, office hours.
