The role holder acts as internal SAP FI/CO consultant and is responsible for managing the release schedules for assigned solution portfolios. In addition, they will act as back up for the Change Manager.
As a Release Manageryour main responsibilities will involve
Engaging closely with Change Managers, Platform Managers and Project Managers to prioritize deliveries
Engaging with SMEs and Bus to identify regression testing
Engaging with interfacing applications to assess and mitigate the implications of cross-application deliveries
Coordinating the final physical delivery of the release package
Coordinating EHPs, System copies post activities, and Security patching release
Responsibility for Regression Testing completion and functional testing coordination
Providing technical and application guidance and support throughout the release process
Providing feedback on the effectiveness of the release and record metrics for deployment to ensure compliance within agreed SLAs
Providing Expert Advice on FICO configuration and transport conflicts
Responsibility for appropriate release package acceptance including business sign off
Responsibility for Expedite Change process
Responsibility for deployment of Financial Applications releases
Your Skills and Experience
As a Release Manager your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
Higher education in IT and/or economics
Experience in SAP international implementations, with leading customizing positions
Experience in SAP templates rollouts and process harmonization
Ability to find defect resolution for any problem identified
Strong communication skills in written and spoken English
Project management skills
Effective team player in a global company
Technical Skills (Desirable)
ALE , LSMW, cut over and migrations, SLO conversions
Experience in SAP technical upgrades
