The Opportunity: We are searching for a Senior Front End Engineer to join our starters team, which focuses on developing fully functional e-commerce Next.js-based web stores. Our codebase is used as a reference and a "golden standard" by our customers' engineering teams who modify and expand it into their own custom solutions. We focus on flawless performance that translates into an excellent Lighthouse score, adherence to best engineering practices and coding conventions, scalability, and developer experience (our code is used by others!). 
Your Mission: Use the latest version of Next.js to build the front-end part of fully functional web storesCollaborate with the product team continuously find ways to improve the developer experience, both for yourself and our customersMaintain high standards of code qualityKeep the application well-tested, self-documenting, and stableMaintain projects with the latest engineering practices and ecosystem trendsWork cross-functionally with technical writers keep the public documentation up-to-date What you need to succeed: Thorough understanding of CSS, SASS, and web designExperience with RESTful and GraphQL APIsExperience writing maintainable and adaptable frontend codeTech at commercetools: We make rapid progress by being early adopters of React, Scala, and GraphQL
