Join our highly skilled Site Reliability team Our team designs, develops, and manages applications and infrastructure that support Akamai's Compute products and services.

Partner with the best As a Senior II SRE, you will specialize in creating solutions that improve automation and efficiencies across all internal teams.
You will drive automation, operational excellence, and support our customer-facing applications and infrastructure.
This will require creative thinking combined with deep domain expertise in the areas of Linux systems administration, configuration management, performance tuning, and hardware engineering.
As a Senior II Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for :
Providing support and mentorship for other Linux engineers within the departmentDefining requirements as part of the product lifecycle to influence the new designs and standardsProviding support, leadership, and motivation for project teamsCollaborating with our support, operations, and engineering teams to investigate and troubleshoot complex problemsImproving our system monitoring and analysis platform to speed error detection and remediation, enhancing performance and reliabilityDo What You Love
To be successful in this role you will : Demonstrate at least LFCS certificate level of knowledge.
Certificate is not required, but knowledge is mandatoryHave relevant experience and a Bachelor's diploma in Engineering, Computer Science or its equivalentPossess expert level experience in an SRE, DevOps, Development, or SysAdmin role working with large scale distributed systemsPossess deep knowledge of Linux Kernel, performance tuning, hardening services; knowledge about QEMU will be greatPossess at least one programming language (Python / Golang) and configuration management with Terraform / SaltStackHave experience with architecting software, and infrastructure at scaleBe able to work in alignment with strategic business initiatives and coordinate the work of other engineersPossess informed opinions on technology and software design to bring to the tableWork in a way that works for you FlexBase, Akamai's Global Flexible Working Program, is based on the principles that are helping us create the best workplace in the world.
