As a Senior Researcher on the Experience Design team, you will partner closely with designers, product managers, and engineers to unlock the customer insights and behaviors required to build amazing user experiences across all of New Relic’s products and business applications. The discoveries you make will help drive the future of New Relic, and the support you give to our design team will guarantee we have the most user-centered product on the market.
Identify and prioritize high-impact UX research opportunities by having a deep understanding of product design, technical requirements, and business objectives
Scope research projects and develop clear/detailed research plans/proposals that outline the research goals, hypotheses, participant characteristics and methods
Execute on qualitative and quantitative research methods
Adapt and innovate research practices to meet team needs under the tight timeframes of a rapidly growing company
Motivate change by communicating research findings that include actionable insights to cross-functional teams and executives in the company
Evangelize and champion user research, user-centric thinking and the voice of our customer, helping it to be an essential process for improvement and innovation
4+ years of experience with product organizations, conducting research studies, including usability/user testing, surveys, and user interviews
Comfortable analyzing and working with both qualitative and quantitative data
Deep knowledge of UX research methods, such as usability studies, field studies, benchmarking, the creation of user personas, participatory design, surveys, focus groups, and competitive analysis
Proven experience working with designers, product managers and key company stakeholders, with the ability to educate teams about user research
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
Ability and willingness to travel, as required
Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology, Computer Science, or a related field
