col-wideJob Description:**About Monasterium**:**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:The main responsibility is to ensure the efficient and safe administration of the laboratory and to provide scientific and technical support to complete contract research projects, collaborative R&D projects between Monasterium Laboratory, as well as basic research projects in the field of human hair biology under the direction of Dr. Marta Bertolini and Dr. Jiménez Acosta. The main task is to manage assigned projects by designing and performing experiments, organizing time schedule of technicians and assistants, and presenting research results in internal meetings. Despite being based in Las Palmas, the staff scientist will be following ML company guidelines, ML QM system, will have access to the corporate benefits, and will participate remotely to scientific internal meeting. The Staff Scientist will be required to visit ML's in Germany at least once a year.**The tasks required to be undertaken include**:- Lab administration and organization of sample shipment to ML- Organize maintenance and troubleshooting for laboratory equipment- Organize the work schedule of the technician and other assistants to perform the laboratory work- Build scientific knowledge in regards to the topics relevant for each assigned project, and participate to Teams meetings organized by ML- Conceive, design and independently execute assays- Perform hair follicle organ culture and other related experiments- Establish and validate new techniques- Critical and professional data analyses, and interpretation- Supervise and train technicians- Critical and professional project documentation following internal QM Monasterium guidelines- Perform statistical analysis and presentation of data with appropriate software (e.g. Excel, GraphPad Prism)- Professionally prepare milestone reports and manuscripts- Provide project updates to the supervisors- Help in writing and submitting documents to local ethics committee- Completed training as PhD- Documented experience in biological research laboratories- Publication of at least one peer-reviewed first author paper in an international life sciences journal- Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English (Company language: English)- Proven expertise in immunohistology, and microscopy- Priority will be given to applicants with documented experience in skin/hair research- Priority will be given to applicants with good knowledge of spoken Spanish
