2-year 0.8 FTE position to 30 June 2022
Substantive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience plus superannuation and generous salary packaging

Let's talk about us:

Nexus is a leading provider of primary and community health - we are committed to excellence in the delivery of holistic, accessible, community-based health services. With a 40-year history, we are the go-to organisation for primary health information and person-centred services in the outer and rural north of Melbourne.
Let's talk about the role:

In the recovery work after the 2009 Bushfires, Nexus recognised the value of the Theraplay® approach. As a result, we have worked to become the Australasian home of Theraplay®.

We now have a new and exciting position available for a Theraplay® Practitioner to join our team on a flexible 0.8 FTE basis.
The role involves operating as a Theraplay® practitioner working with victim-survivors of Family Violence and is a key contact for practitioners implementing Theraplay® into their practice.
Let's talk about your background:

You are qualified in Occupational Therapy, Psychology or Social Work. Ideally, you will have Certification as a Theraplay® Therapist, Supervisor, and Trainer with experience in group facilitation, however, we will also consider applicants who can demonstrate their capability to grow in this area. You have a sensitive approach to working with individuals and a philosophy of empowerment with extensive generalist counselling experience

The role is based at our Broadford/Seymour sites plus Outreach. For a period of time, you are also likely to be working from home.
The culture & benefits on offer:
We provide a supportive, friendly workplace with staff who are committed and passionate about the Nexus Values. We offer professional development opportunities, family-friendly and flexible hours, generous salary packaging and competitive salaries.
How to apply:

We want to get to know you better, so please include a resume and cover letter addressing the Key Selection Criteria contained within the Position Description in your application.

Enquiries can be made to Kathryn Wearne on 1300 77 33 52.

Nexus is committed to the safeguarding of children and vulnerable people. All successful applicants will undergo rigorous compliance screening prior to their appointment.

Applications close at 10pm on 30 June 2020.
