Job Description Summary ROLE The Vice President Clinical Operations is a senior role within Alira Health and will be responsible for overseeing all Clinical operational activities. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Responsible for the overall performance, quality, execution, control, and completion of the Clinical Operations services within the designated region. Drive the completion and delivery of the end-to-end service through a variety of metrics and KPIs. Deliver services against key metrics to enable Alira Health to achieve growth and an outstanding reputation in the CRO market. Management of the Clinical Director (and Associate Director) teams. Work with functional heads to agree on changes and operational deliveries across their region(s). Overall decision responsibilities regarding resourcing, line management, training, functional delivery, and agreeing on high-quality measurements within their region. Lead the overall delivery through the management team to drive execution of service, customer satisfaction, quality, and efficiencies. Overall budgeting responsibilities (P&L accountability) to drive productivity and quality within the region. Provide financial oversight for clinical activities. Provide effective management support through the regional team to deliver a high-performing culture. Oversight and execution of all Clinical monitoring activities to achieve key metrics, including productivity and quality levels. Communicate with the SVP for Global Clinical Operations and Biometrics leaders on all critical issues and business growth opportunities. Represent Alira Health and their region of expertise across key client portfolios on executive steering committees and at bid defense meetings. Work closely with Business Development to support the growth of the region and provide regional-based knowledge to achieve success. Develop key relationships with customers and participate in customer steering committees as needed. Work closely with functional heads of CRA monitoring and Study start-up activities to achieve global consistency, focus, and development across the regions. Drive innovation and continuous improvement in all areas of responsibility. Recognize the importance of and create a culture of process improvement with a focus on streamlining processes, adding value to our business, and meeting client needs. Other duties as assigned. DESIRED QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE Minimum of 15 years' Clinical Development, project/program management experience. Minimum of 10 years' international CRO experience. Strong knowledge of clinical trial requirements. Experience in providing client oversight/management
