The Yield Manager works in tandem with the DM on commercially related tasks, helping to ensure G2 Travel has the most competitive offering.
The role is based locally and reports into a Regional Manager.Key Activities:Partner internally with the Destination Manager to achieve a high-quality collaboration, sharing information and strategies while driving high levels of efficiency.Audit static and margin contracts from a commercial perspective to ensure optimum set-up and competitiveness.Audit margin contracts from a technical perspective to ensure hotels are open and selling at all times to maximise sales.Perform competitive analysis by doing rate shops comparing G2 rates against B2B and B2C partners to understand hotel strategy on promotions and rates.Analyze reports to identify possible weak spots or errors in the contracted conditions.Conduct regular face-to-face meetings with hotel suppliers to build strong commercial relationships and negotiate special offers/promotions.Renegotiate contract conditions to maximise availability at the best possible commercials.Obtain extra availability from suppliers and ensure that hotels are proactively adding availability via the extranet.Negotiate book-outs and general issues with suppliers as requested by DM.Assist with basic training initiatives as required, e.g., extranet training.Identify business opportunities in terms of new products and offers with the Destination Manager.Key Relationships: with internal departments including:Destination ManagersRegional ManagersHead of Destination ManagementCustomer Service TeamConnectivity TeamClient APIKnowledge, Skills & ExperienceStrong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and efficiently with suppliers and with the team.Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritise.Fluency in Spanish and English is required.Commercial mindset with the ability to understand, evaluate, and analyze data.Driven to succeed with a professional 'can do' attitude and work ethic.
Able to work to deadlines independently in a fast-paced environment.Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.IT proficiency including a sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.Previous experience within a commercial role such as sales or purchasing within the tourism industry.
