We are looking for a strong professional who will be responsible for a 360 view of the financial activities of the country, starting with accounting and expanding to all fields of finance.The position reports to a Finance manager based in Spain, with a dotted line to the country manager within the country. The geographic scope of the job covers Spain.Job Responsibilities:-General Accounting- Responsible for complete and accurate financial statements (P&L and Balance Sheet)- Manage the month end close by publishing results, setting up reviews with country manager and EMEA finance- Provide Aging reports to management, monitor and assist in resolution- Reviews the monthly payroll as provided by our external provider- Posts the entries into the GLCustomer Financial Services:- Supervise the collection process to ensure proper follow up actions are taken with customers- Publish monthly reporting on aging receivables- Responsible for the credit request processFinancial Planning:- Manage the yearly business planning process- Support forecasting of the activity on a monthly basis- Support Country manager in defining corrective actions to achieve the plan- Supports the justification and approval process for future capital spending requirementsTreasury:- Monitor the bank accounts- Prepare Cash Flow for funding requests- Assess best solutions for treasury related issuesMiscellaneous:- Support the country managers on ad-hoc financial requests- Act as a business partner to the operations management team- Expert in Spanish Taxation (direct and indirect)- Expert in IFRS principlesRequirements:-Education:- Degree in accounting (D.E.C.F level required)Experience and Knowledge:- Minimum 4 years work experience in accounting- Good communication skills including local and English language proficiency; - Strong ability to work independentlyPersonal Attributes:- Willing and capable to take initiatives, positive attitudeAdditional InformationPosting Date: 2024-04-22FedEx Logistics provides freight forwarding, as well as import and export services that allow companies to reach markets throughout the world.
