.:The Cash and Collections Specialist is tasked with overseeing and managing the cash collection activities for a specific portfolio of customers. In this role, the specialist is responsible for ensuring efficient and effective cash collection, contributing to the financial health of the organization. The primary focus is on maintaining positive relationships with customers while systematically addressing outstanding payments, utilizing automated workflows, and exercising sound judgment in time management. The purpose of this position is to optimize cash flow, reduce outstanding receivables,and contribute to the overall financial stability of the company by implementing effective cash and collections strategies within the defined customer portfolio.Key accountabilities:Manage the cash collection and account reconciliation of a selection of debtors, contacting customers as directed by automated workflow and own judgementFinding alternative ways and solutions to manage payments for key customersHold or attend review meetings with key customers and internal stakeholders to discuss payment situations on a regular basisResponsible for resolution of unallocated cash & credit requiring account reconciliation and/or customer contactTo work closely and provide support to our centralised functions in both Barcelona and IndiaHighlight any high risk customers working closely with the credit teamFollows through on customer enquiries, requests or complaints – making sure that the customer has received a response even if not responding in personDevelops and uses methods to share information on their role with others within their team, ensuring that everyone understands how to work togetherRole requirements:- Collections experience/Finance background or suitable equivalent customer serviceComputer literate with knowledge of ERPs like Oracle, SAP or similarPossess good understanding of Microsoft Office suite (Excel, Word, etc)Customer account reconciliation skillsGood understanding of dispute management resolutionModels honesty, openness, integrity and ethical behaviourResults & Customer focusedGood communication and negotiation skillsFluent in written and spoken English.
