They are currently recruiting for Cost & Claims Manager to initially work from home for the rest of 2024. In 2025 the candidate will be expected to work from the client offices in Gijon, Spain,Project Description and responsibilities:By supporting the project in the areas of team organization, control and cost allocation in SAP/WBS, the cost & claims controller will see their role and responsibility increase with the development of the project through the design phases.Every new design phase will bring additional needs and workload, driven by the implementation and closure phases requiring a higher contribution of this function, thus a higher need of good coordination.This function provides an important assistance to the project managers by allowing them to focus mainly in the engineering design, construction and commissioning and removing from them the workload of cost & claims management tasks.The cost & claims controller has a key role in expansion projects to guarantee that all purchase orders of the project are correctly allocated to the correspondent WBS, hence guaranteeing a good knowledge and control of the project budget.Integrating the project team, the cost & claim controller is responsible to follow all systems to manage / track purchase orders and goods receipts, responsible management of miscellaneous non-PO purchases, establish and maintain systems for allocation of project costs in SAP/WBS, and receive, analyze, follow up and guarantee that all claims and Contract Change Orders are dully manage until they are rejected or accepted in collaboration with the corresponding Project Manager.PRIMARY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Cost & claims control:Establish and maintain systems to issue and track purchase orders in SAP, guaranteeing correct WBS allocationIssue and track Shopping Carts (SCs), Purchase Orders (POs) and goods receipts (GRs) inS AP in a timely mannerActively manage SAP/WBS cost allocation and highlight variationsProvide actuals per WBS to support forecasting by Project ManagersActively manage all claims and Contract Change Orders assisting the corresponding Project Manager to deal with them
