.Mission As a DMU (Digital Mock-Up) Integrator, yourmission at PLD Space is to manage and optimize the digital representation oflaunch vehicles throughout the product development lifecycle. You will play acritical role in ensuring the accuracy of the digital models, facilitatingcollaboration among multidisciplinary teams, and supporting the overall designprocesses.Responsibilities Digital Mock-Up (DMU) Management: Managethe digital mock-up environment using Siemens NX software. Maintain theintegrity of the digital models, ensuring they accurately represent thephysical systems.Model Integration: Integrate CAD(Computer-Aided Design) models, assemblies, and subsystems into the digitalmock-up environment, ensuring proper alignment, clearances, and interfacesbetween components.Collaboration Facilitation: Collaboratewith cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, structuralanalysts, systems engineers, and manufacturing teams, to ensure seamlessintegration of design data and to resolve design-related issues.Configuration Management: Implement andmaintain configuration management processes for digital models to trackchanges, revisions, and design iterations.Managementof the different launch vehicle effectivities applied at DMU level in the PLM(Teamcenter).Definitionof standardized elements 3D models (acc. to normative), naming rules andstorage management of these elements in the PLM database (Teamcenter).Follow-up and control of launch vehiclemass properties' budget.Beable to provide updated weight reports and feedback at any time.Validation and Verification: Perform validationand verification activities on the digital models to ensure that they meetdesign requirements, including geometric, structural, and kinematic aspects.DMU Reviews: Organize and lead DMUreviews to assess model quality, accuracy, and compliance with designstandards. Provide feedback and recommendations for improvements.Model Optimization: Collaborate withdesign engineers to optimize digital models for performance, manufacturability, and assembly. Identify and propose design changes whennecessary.Interdisciplinary Coordination: Act as aliaison between different engineering disciplines, ensuring that all aspectsof the digital mock-up align with the overall project objectives.Training and Support: Provide trainingand support to team members and end-users on the use of Siemens NX and thedigital mock-up environment.Best Practices: Stay updated on industrybest practices, software updates, and emerging technologies related todigital mock-up and CAD integration and apply this knowledge to improveprocesses.Generate documentation, including userguides, user checklistsand user manuals for internal customers use.RequiredKnowledge Bachelor's or Master's degree in aerospace engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field.Proficiency in Siemens NX (formerly known as Unigraphics)software for 3D modeling, assembly design, and digital mock-up management
