The Role As a Software Development Manager, you will be responsible for building and leading a cross-functional software development team with focus on new innovative software solutions. You will interact and collaborate with various Solera product management and engineering teams across multiple locations. Serves as an engineering mentor and guide in the Solera Fleet Solutions product engineering organization. Provides management expertise in managing and developing a talented engineering team. Helps implement standard development processes, drive implementation of guidelines.

- Support and implement organization's initiatives
- Mentor junior resources and provide guidance ensuring all development standards and practices are adhered to
- Pursue continuous improvement in development processes, standards, and quality
- Coach, mentor and lead a diverse group of lean/agile software engineers
- Work directly with stakeholders to understand business and technical needs
What you'll bring EDUCATION : Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related field
EXPERIENCE : 5+ years managing development teams
Hands-on experience with Agile (Scrum or XP) and test & behavior driven development, continuous integration, and version control
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: - Demonstrable experience in developing software applications
- Experience in managing teams responsible for building scalable and highly available distributed systems
- Strong problem-solving abilities and capable of articulating specific technical topics or assignments
- Experience in breaking down problems and estimate time for development tasks
