Summary
We are seeking a dynamic leader to drive and expand our data management business. Crucial responsibilities include ensuring data security, accessibility, and integrity. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing data governance, managing quality procedures, and collaborating with various business units. The role shapes our evolving data strategy, ensuring compliance with data protection laws and alignment with business goals. Responsibilities Oversee the Enterprise Data Management team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.Evolve and adapt data management strategies to align with organizational goals and changing business needs.Lead the development and implementation of the data governance framework and ensure the adoption of data governance policies and support their development.Evaluate and manage vendor partnerships for data-related services, negotiating contracts and assessing new offerings.Collaborate internally and maintain interaction with stakeholders to manage the budget and resource allocation for related projects.Implement and update data privacy policies, conduct risk assessments, and build relationships with key stakeholders.Encourage learning and development and communicate and prioritize project responsibilities by offering guidance and feedback, and ensuring individual accountability for performance.Qualifications Minimum 5 years of expertise in data management, governance, and quality, with specific knowledge of Canadian regulations and data policy (Law 25).Minimum 3 years of team leadership and project management for medium to large-scale initiatives.Extensive background in data architecture, storage best practices, and developing data strategies.Expertise in implementing data quality, lifecycle management, and metadata management frameworks.In-depth experience in data integration, security practices, and enforcing organizational data governance policies.Proficiency in various architectural patterns, database technologies (SQL, DB2, Oracle).University degree or college diploma in computer science or related disciplineWe thank all candidates in advance.
