Title: Senior Safety LeadType: Full-Time/ExemptReports to: Safety ManagerPossible work locations: Ann Arbor, MI and Springfield, ILResponsibilities:Lead and further develop a team of Safety Supervisors.Oversee training for operations teams with other SET Team members.Ability to perform incident investigation and represent the company to customer executives regarding company determined initiatives.Monitors and audits both the direct report team and operational activities to ensure that policies and procedures are being followed.Participates with safety team in task force meetings to ratify the develop work methods and provides support to Team Projects.Assumes a primary role in the General Foreman Training Schools.Coordinates with operations management to establish strategies for correcting any deficiencies found during the monitoring or audit process with field operations.Maintains comprehensive and up to date knowledge of regulations related to assigned job.Other tasks and responsibilities as assigned. Requirements:Experience leading a team of direct reports and proven people development.Job Related Credentials – ISA Arborist, ISA Utility Specialist, TRAQ, CTSP, OSHA 30, Certified First Aid CPR Trainer, Pesticide Applicator License are preferred.Physical Ability to train related Arboriculture skills.Familiarity with OSHA, ANSI and DOT and with the ability to interpret standards.Strong communication skills, both verbal (Including public speaking and bilingual in Spanish/English) and written (training documents/presentations/report writing) preferred.Strong organizational skills and tendencies; the ability to work on multiple tasks and projects concurrently.Ability to work with employees at all levels of the organization.Ability to work with utility customers and other safety professionals in a timely and professional manner. This includes, but not limited to, knowledge of company structure and knowing who to talk to and when.
