.Health & Safety Manager - Major Green Infrastructure Project (Spain) Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Health & Safety Manager to join our team for a major green infrastructure project in Northern Spain. Summary Responsibilities:Oversee health & safety (H&S) across all phases of the project, from planning and design to construction and commissioning.Foster a positive safety culture through effective collaboration with project teams, EPCM partners, and General Contractors (GCs).Primary Tasks and Responsibilities:Collaborate with project teams and the EPCM partner to implement robust H&S systems, including RACI matrix, risk management, incident reporting, trend analysis, investigations, emergency preparedness, and training programs.Support Engineering and Operations EHS teams during pre-startup safety reviews and commissioning activities for new process lines.Champion H&S continuous improvement initiatives.Conduct regular inspections, audits, and assessments to monitor H&S effectiveness and identify improvement areas.Develop processes to manage interface safety risks between project activities.Deliver effective H&S training and communication programs for project staff and contractors, covering topics such as accident prevention, hazard identification, emergency response, and waste management.Ensure incident reporting, investigation, and corrective/preventive action implementation.Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on H&S matters and report on H&S performance.Lead a team of H&S personnel to support the project as owner's representatives.Technical Profile Requirements:Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in engineering, environmental science, occupational health & safety, or a related field (advantageous)Minimum 10 years' experience in EHS management within project environments, preferably in the green infrastructure sectorIn-depth knowledge of relevant H&S laws, regulations, standards, and best practicesProficiency in H&S software tools and applicationsCertified or eligible for certification as a professional H&S practitioner by a recognized bodyProven track record of building a strong safety culture and enhancing safety capabilities within teamsFluency in ENGLISH AND SPANISH is ESSENTIALNon-Technical Profile Requirements:Demonstrated leadership and team management skillsExcellent communication skills at all levelsStrong planning, organization, and goal-oriented approachExcellent people and process management skillsConflict resolution skillsContract Details:Long-term contract (start date: August 2024, +/- 1 month)Remote work until the end of 2024, followed by 3 years on-site presence in SpainBusiness travel required (expenses reimbursed)Market-rate compensation package for Spain (includes remote and on-site work periods)To Apply:Please submit your CV and a cover letter outlining your suitability for this role
