If you're looking for a vehicle to achieve your professional goals and work alongside fantastic teams, we invite you to join us.Your Mission:AfterShip is seeking an experienced and dynamic General Counsel to lead its Legal Department.As the General Counsel, you will be responsible for providing strategic legal guidance, managing risks, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations (including privacy laws on a global scale), negotiate deals with customers and vendors, manage the department budget, the IP portfolio, build strong processes and manage dispute resolutions. You will play a crucial role in fostering innovation and supporting the company's growth initiatives by leading a small internal team of lawyers, IT experts and managing external law firms (DPO, etc.). The ideal candidate will be a seasoned legal professional with a strong background in IT and privacy laws, excellent leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the e-commerce industry.The General Counsel is part of AfterShip's global team. As such, it may be required to work outside typical office hours in order to accommodate APAC/EU/NA time zones.
