Responsibilities include the cultivation and solicitation of annual gifts, assisting with premium seating and a focus on parent/family giving. The Assistant Director will work closely with the Sr. Associate Athletic Director to strategize opportunities to increase giving for SLU Athletics.Job ResponsibilitiesIdentifies, cultivates and solicits annual giftsMaintains a portfolio of annual donors to the Billiken ClubResponsible for conducting 10-15 visits per monthAssists the Assistant Athletic Director for Ticketing on a strategy to drive revenue through premium seatingFocuses on current and former parent givingAssists in sport specific giving programs and works as a liaison with certain teamsAssists with all events and donor hospitality spaces with specific sportsManages other external initiativesPerforms other duties as assignedRequired Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesKnowledge of development/fundraising concepts and appropriate solicitation techniquesStrong interpersonal/human relations skillsStrong verbal and professional written communication skillsMarketing and presentation skillsProject management skillsAbility to interact with diplomacy and tact amid influential clients and diverse groupsAbility to maintain relationships with significant and influential individualsAbility to maintain high level of confidentialityAbility to travel strategically and obtain resultsMinimum Qualifications – Bachelor's degree supplemented with three years of experience in fundraising or premium seating (collegiate athletics experience preferred). Including experience with donor software and fundraising, event management experience. An equivalent combination of education, training and experience will be considered.
