This includes identification of new project opportunities, developing expressions of interest, project proposals, supporting OIKO's key staff in the implementation of on-going projects, establishment of partnerships with different organizations, daily communicating with experts, as well as any relevant activities especially in the business development department in our project cycle.Position Description:The Research Analyst/Project Manager will be responsible for supporting the Senior Climate Finance Expert and the Head of the Project Management Unit with drafting technical reports on topics related -but not exclusively- to climate finance (50 % of the workload). The scope of the consultancy projects relates to climate change adaptation and mitigation, resources mobilization for climate finance, cost-benefit analysis, design of financial strategies, circular economy among others. Besides desk review, report writing, and quality control, the Research Analyst/Project Manager will support the Senior expert with organization of meeting, conducting interviews and supporting the coordination of teams.The Research Analyst/Project Manager will be further responsible for coordinating and implementing climate change and climate service application projects in French speaking developing countries (mainly African region), within the decided-upon budget, timeline, and scope. He/she will also effectively monitor progress and implementation and communicate and interact on a regular basis with the team members, international partners, and relevant stakeholders, as well as internal OIKO project team members. Initially, the workload might require 50 % of time dedicated to Project Management, and 50 % of time dedicated to Research.The Research Analyst/Project Manager will also contribute, if requested, to additional tasks of the Project Management and Business Development Units, such as methodology writing for ongoing bids
