The Resource Manager will help manage and optimize the organization's resources and deliver resource management support to the business. This role will also contribute to resourcing strategy for the organization and assist with budgeting and forecasting activities to improve company performance. On a day-to-day basis, the Resource Manager is responsible for executing all staffing processes and activities further defined below.Essential functions of the job include but are not limited to:Oversee the allocation and assignment of global resources (both full time and contractor staff) to the appropriate projects, placing the right people in the right positions to ensure project success, across the PFMORD enterpriseOptimize utilization across the business units by making staffing recommendations and decisions in support of a deployment strategyWork with senior leadership to understand key resource requirements and ensure the development of resourcing strategies to meet both current and future organizational needsFocus on developmental opportunities for staff and plans for staff advancementEvaluates opportunities for resource optimization and enhancement using specific tracking tools and integration into the company ERP systemAdvise project teams and financial analysts on how to best navigate and employ the resource management process and provide recommendations to improve business performanceContribute to budgeting and forecasting activities on an ongoing and annualized basis to maximize value for the companyCoordinate hiring plan execution with Human Resources and Finance to ensure appropriately prioritized hiringPrepare metrics and summary reports on resourcing activities as necessaryNegotiate and resolve staffing conflicts to the satisfaction of all parties and identify creative alternatives to address identified issuesEscalate sensitive or high-risk staffing situations to the Business Operations leadership and Executive Team as necessaryOther duties as assignedThis position can be offered fully home based.The ideal candidate will have:4-year college degree, or equivalent experience ideally in a scientific or healthcare disciplineProven experience managing resources in a global service organization, ideally with in the pharma/life sciences industryAbility to manage workforce allocations for both full time and contractor resourcesSupervisory experience and ability to manage Business Operations AssociatesAbility to drive and availability for domestic and occasional international travel including overnight staysPreferred:Postgraduate, graduateCompetencies:Possesses strong organizational/written communication skills and the ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environmentAppropriate financial acumen and understanding of budgets, forecasting, utilization and realization conceptsCreative and flexible problem solving and critical thinking abilitiesExecutes time-sensitive matters while maintaining accuracy and attention to detailExhibits high self-motivation, and is able to work and plan independently as well as in a team environmentDemonstrates a high degree of professionalismDisplays sound business judgment and a proactive, independent work styleWorks well independently and cooperatively with others to achieve common goals in a virtual environmentStrong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence allowing the individual to identify collaborative solutions and resolve conflicts in a productive, professional mannerDisplays operational and interpersonal flexibility to establish relationships and best practices in an integration-heavy environmentDevelops, maintains, and strengthens relationships with others inside or outside of the organization who can provide information, assistance, and supportAbility to work with diverse environments, both globally and culturallyPrecision medicine is revolutionizing the attack on cancer—and we are passionate about helping you harness its power.
