THE ROLE We're looking for a driven Senior Accountant to provide support to the financial department by managing and supervising the accounting and tax activities. Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will work as part of a Finance Team and collaborate with external advisers.
Your responsibilities will include: Ensuring the integrity of accounting information by recording and verifying transactions.
Coordination and execution of the day-to-day accounting activities and accounts reconciliation to ensure that financial records are accurate by reconciling accounts, identifying discrepancies, and resolving issues.
Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
Performing month-end and year-end close processes.
Support on AP & AR , performing supplier invoice validation and cancellation control.
Ensure compliance with Spanish tax regulations, managing the indirect tax filings timely and meet all local compliance requirements.
Preparing monthly accounting analyses and reports.
Design, document, implement, and execute internal controls to ensure transactions and balances are accurately reported.
Assisting with annual audit preparations, providing necessary documentation and addressing audit findings.
Contributing to the development of new or amended accounting systems, programs and procedures.
Supporting junior staff as required or assigned.
What you need to succeed: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
Proven experience as a Senior Accountant at least 4 years.
In-depth knowledge of Spanish accounting and tax laws.
Proven experience in Microsoft Dynamics, Net Suite or similar software.
Excellent knowledge of MS EXCEL
Excellent knowledge of Gsuite
Fluent in English and Spanish
Meticulous attention to detail with the superb organizational skills.
Strong organizational, analytical and planning skills.
