.Senior Researcher in Artificial Intelligence & Data Analytics (San Sebastian/Bilbao)Senior Researcher in Artificial Intelligence & Data Analytics (San Sebastian/Bilbao) The Data Intelligence Department for Industry, Energy and Sustainability at Vicomtech is looking for a Senior Researcher to join one of our offices (San Sebastian / Bilbao) and lead a research group specialized in digital technologies applied to the Energy sector.Responsibilities :Establish relationships and collaborate with external partners, including companies, academic institutions, and public organizations, to drive innovation and technology transfer in the energy field.Design and implement the technology pipeline project acquisition plan.Lead and supervise a team of researchers in the development of research projects related to digital technologies, artificial intelligence and data analytics applied to energy along its value chain.Design and execute research projects, local, state and international, from conceptualization to implementation and presentation of results.Keep abreast of technological and scientific advances in the field of digital technologies applied to the energy sector.Publish and present research results in prestigious conferences and scientific journals.Candidates must have:PhD in computer science, engineering, physics, applied mathematics or a related field.Demonstrable research experience in digital technologies, data analytics and machine learning, preferably in the field of Energy (Production, distribution, efficiency).Strong programming skills and experience in the use of common programming tools and languages for the implementation of machine learning algorithms and data analytics.Knowledge of systems architecture, communications, deployments, communications protocols, DevOps, etc.Ability to lead and motivate a team of researchers.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish (knowledge of Basque would be an asset).Ability to work independently and in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.Experience in obtaining funding for research projects.We offer:Joining one of the leading research centers at state level in Artificial Intelligence and digital technologies.
