Management Accounting & Budgeting (Accounting) The Accounting Head is primarily responsible in overseeing the financial operations and reporting for our organization. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing the accounting team, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and providing accurate and timely financial information to support decision-making.Responsibilities:Financial Reporting: Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements. Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and compliance of financial reports with relevant accounting standards (e.g., GAAP) and regulatory requirements.Budgeting and Forecasting: Collaborate with department heads and senior management to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts. Monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and provide recommendations to optimize financial resources and achieve organizational goals.General Ledger Management: Oversee the maintenance of the general ledger, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions, proper classification, and adherence to accounting principles. Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and adjustments.Internal Controls and Compliance: Establish and enforce internal control procedures to safeguard assets, prevent fraud, and ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulations. Conduct periodic audits and assessments to identify control weaknesses and implement corrective measures.Financial Analysis: Analyze financial data and performance indicators to assess the organization's financial health, identify trends, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making. Prepare financial reports and presentations for management and stakeholders.Taxation and Audit: Collaborate with external auditors, tax consultants, and regulatory bodies to facilitate audits, tax filings, and compliance requirements. Ensure timely and accurate submission of tax returns, financial reports, and other statutory filings.Team Leadership and Development: Manage and provide guidance to the accounting team, including setting performance objectives, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development. Promote a collaborative and efficient work environment.Process Improvement: Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes, enhance efficiency, and improve accuracy. Implement and monitor effective financial controls, systems, and procedures. Leverage technology solutions to automate routine tasks and reporting.Cash Management: Oversee cash flow planning and management, including monitoring receivables and payables, optimizing working capital, and maintaining banking relationships. Ensure proper liquidity and funding for operational needs.Financial Policies and Procedures: Develop and update financial policies, procedures, and guidelines in alignment with best practices and regulatory requirements. Communicate and enforce compliance with financial policies throughout the organization.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional certifications such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent are preferred.Proven experience in accounting and financial management, with a focus on financial reporting, budgeting, and analysis.Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and relevant standards (e.g., GAAP, IFRS).Experience with accounting software and ERP systems. Proficiency in MS Excel and other financial analysis tools.Understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements.Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide meaningful insights to support decision-making.Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a track record of developing and motivating a high-performing accounting team.Attention to detail, accuracy, and a commitment to delivering quality work within established deadlines.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at various levels.Proactive mindset and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement and process optimization.Willing to be assigned in Ortigas, Pasig City.CAN START ASAP!!!
