Howden Spain (HES) designs, manufactures and supplies air and gas handling equipment such as industrial fans, process gas compressors and rotary heat exchangers. Our products have made a valuable difference for our clients, and we are now looking for a Proposal Specialist Engineer who will join our team and assist us in making a valuable difference in the century to come.
The candidate is meant to support the proposal preparation and the sales along with business development of several Howden AFM products.
WHAT NEEDS TO BE DONE? Prepare commercial offers and orders, and track them to ensure that it is met on time and with the required specifications, including design, basic costs and drawing and application of Howden technology Commercial functions such as interacting in an efficient and profitable way with the clients thus providing a timely and professional service Lend support to other companies in the group regarding the sale of their products. Support HES Sales Specialist in order to develop the most efficient technical solution and contribute to the training of the team Selection and calculation of customized solutions through performance analysis to generate and propose value solutions of the different Howden products. 25-35% travel time per year depending on project assignments.
Main Accountabilities Manage relationship with customers in agreement with the sales manager. Visit clients to promote HES products, understand the needs of the customer and provide/ communicate (according to complexity) any doubts to other departments in order to find the most suitable solution Lend support to other companies in the group. Act as an intermediate in consultations received from Spanish clients, serving as support in translations, visits to clients, helping if necessary to solve doubts or problems that may arise and getting answers from different companies in the group Prepare offers to customers based on the requirements for RFQ queries, manage the necessary tasks of various departments to prepare the proposal, and review the terms and conditions of the contract to finally submit the offer after revision Track offers. Control and follow up on offers, maintain contact with potential clients and ensure care services Contracts
Study the contracts received in order to anticipate possible problems and solve them. Verify that the proposed modifications to the terms and conditions of purchases have been implemented and the proposed agreements are reflected in the contractSend plans to the client and obtain confirmation of the same, attend to the engineering department´s said plans for its implementationFollow-up of the contract process to ensure complianceObtain a possible guarantee, transmit the draft of the guarantee to the financial department for presentation, and verify in case of letter of credit verification of the text and condition of the same WHAT DO YOU NEED TO BRING? Essential skills & experience Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with at least 2 years relevant experience in a similar role.Technical solutions /customer support experience.Computer literacy, with good knowledge on using MS Office applications.Ability to handle a number of complex projects simultaneously.Fluent capabilities skills in Spanish & English.High degree of self-motivation and initiative.Good technical understanding of Steel, Power generation and Petrochemical processes.Tender preparation experience with engineered goods.French conversational level.
