Assistant Waiter

Responsibilities : Perform opening and closing duties Fill in opening and closing check list Setting up the working station, ensure that it is well organised to prepare the service Help the waiters in preparation of the venue Collect empty plates and take them to the dishwasher area Help cleaning the table after customers leave Assists the restaurant team and serve the client on time Assists to set up station properly and on time for each service period Be able to work in another area when needed Follow clean as you go policy and keep work area clean at all time Ensuring good hygiene and health and safety at all time Folding napkins Change and clean ashtrays Refill candle holders Refill olive oil vinegar when needed Ensure the closing team leave the venue as per the standard for the opening team Attend daily briefing Before the service : Prepare service station for operation Set up the restaurant Arrange the seating''s according to given allocations Check salt and peper refill if needed Attend daily briefing (always wear your uniform) Make sure you always have the necessary prior the start of the service : notepad, pens, wine opener etc... Be presentable Make sure your breath is fresh During the service : Welcome guest Maintain high quality service and friendly atmosphere Serving water Follow the direction of the waiter Be responsible for a perfect table maintenance : clean the table, empty ashtrays, pouring water and wine constantly, maintain eyes contact with the table all the time Collect empty plates and place them correctly on a tray Set up the table after each course equipping the proper cutlery for each guest Folding Napkins : as soon one guest leave temporarily the table (ex : going toilette) Help the waiter for sharing food : be sure that all the guests receive a proper portion of food.
